‘Du Sik, eat a lot of good food and be happy!’
Halmoni Gamri
Despite the controversy of the actor, my favorite Mr. Dimple, there is always good thing to be taken away from this Korean Drama.
One of the quotes from Halmoni Gamri about eating good food and be happy intrigued me.
Good food, good heart and good mind are three pillars in our body that keep us healthy. They said, it is the secret of health.
The first one is called Upper Dantian (Shen), it is where we need to find beauty in all things happening in our life. What we see can be a lesson and it can be reason too. Depends on how we perceive something and our point of view.
I remember my husband, he is an architect, showed me the three ways of point of view in architectural perspectives. They are worm point of view, human point of view and the last one is the bird point of view. I do believe i have written about this in my previous post. Here is the link https://anistiriris.wordpress.com/2019/08/05/3-cara-pandang/
Having a bird point of view takes courage, i believe. Yet, I suggest : practice makes perfect! The more we practice in seeing other sides, seeing in a bigger picture and also not taking sides, the more it becomes a habit on the way we see something. The wider your perspective most likely the wiser you are. I think, if you can think on the good side, you will help to ease your mind. And this leads you to have a happy mind!
The second one is called Middle Dantian (Qi), it is an energy that we have in our body. Your heart should be warm. That is why there is this word : heartwarming. It is the location where the fire in our body keeps us alive. When the heart is warm, we will feel much relieve and free from stress. Happiness is within our heart, to have a good feeling is within our heart as well. Don’t you think so?
The third one is called Lower Dantian (Jing). It is physically the essence of our physical body. How many of us who is actually being mindful on whatever we put inside our body? Oh well, trust me to trust your gut. Vex King in one of his books, Good Vibe Good Life, stated that what you consume, consumes you ; what consumes you, controls your life.
Everything you eat and drink is important, as it affects your vibration and reality. ~ Vex King
Allow me to rewrite what Vex King shared in his book regarding the four categories of vibrational foods.
The first one will be high – vibration foods. It includes fresh fruits and raw vegetables, wholegrains, olives, almonds, hazelnuts, sunflower seeds, soy and coconut.
The second one will be lower – vibration foods. Such as boiled vegetables, milk, butter, eggs, honey, cooked fish, peanut oil, sugar cane and wine.
The third category consisted of foods with very low vibration. It includes cooked meats, sausages, coffee and tea, chocolate jams, processed cheeses and white bread.
The fourth category exhibited zero vibration. Such as margarine, conserves, alcoholic spirits, refined white sugar and bleached flour.
Well, as much as I know the theory. I know that we also need to pamper our tongue and eat food that makes us happy as well. Yet, still keep it balance and make sure that we have a healthy gut.
My love of culinary and traditional food asked me most of the time to balance whatever I put in my tummy. So, whenever I eat food that makes me happy with low or no vibration, I will try to balance it with other things. My choice will be the herbal drink.
Honey gingergrass is my all time favourite! Here is how to make a cup of honey gingergrass.
Honey Gingergrass
Ingredients :
10 cm ginger – thinly sliced / bruised

In a sauce pan, boil water, ginger and lemongrass for 10 minutes. Best served in a cup while hot. Add about 1 tbsp honey per cup or any on your taste. Voila! It’s ready.
*) sometimes i add lemon juice. I will add it once i turned off the heat and stir to combine everything.
I do hope those who read this post will enjoy life as much as I do and live your life up to the fullest! May we all be healthy, happy and wealthy! Ciao!
