Being Loved

You are loved – Josh Groban

Two days ago was my 39th birthday. To tell you the truth, it was the best celebration i have ever had. Amidst the Corona pandemic where we have to stay at home, I received so much love sent to me here in Makassar, South Sulawesi.

Never knew that I would feel a birthday celebration with so many greetings, surprise cakes, gifts, video calls, instagram posts, short clips, kisses, hugs from lovely people. It’s the feeling of being loved that I am grateful for.

I just left my comfort zone 9 months ago. Still in the process of making my dreams come true and of course, enjoying the process and trust in it. During this 6 months, I have more joy and have been living my life up to the fullest. I am happy, happier.

Committed to be better everyday in each and every way for the rest of my life has become my aim. Feeling good in every single thing that I could find is the thing I want to feel every time I open my eyes. Find What I Feel Good – as it is campaigned by one of my favorite Yogis, Adrienne Misler.

Does it sound like I made it? OF COURSE, not.
My first 3 months were full of being lazy on a couch, literally doing nothing. I don’t really like watching TV, so ya.. it was just : sleep, eat and repeat.

After 3 months, I started reading 5 AM Club. That was the only time I felt that I had to kick my ass to do something. So there, I started my weekly planner and daily planner well. Guess what, it lasted only for 3 months. After that, the need to travel and set up another routine was another story. It was not easy when I had to travel a lot . So where was I those 3 months? Pampering myself for not doing anything. I started giving excuses to myself. Compromising my procrastination, to be very honest.

Yet, universe reminds me in an extraordinary way. A text from a friend who asked if I had posted something to an online class said ‘Write anything but do it in routine.’

So here I am, reminiscing my dreams. About what has been my ideal on working from home and making my dreams come true. I just want to be a better version of me every day, investing time wisely by doing something constructively and productively, listening to other people’s perspectives, counting blessings more and certainly, being thankful more.

I know I am loved. What about you?
